Cornwall’s pubs with rooms cluster where the fishing harbours are: Padstow on the Camel Estuary, St Ives on its own bay with a working beach on one side and a branch-line station on the other, Fowey on the river of the same name, and Port Isaac, the north-coast village most people now recognise from television before they recognise the name. Every one of our four towns is a genuine Cornish harbour, not an inland market town that happens to be in the county.

Cornish pubs with rooms tend to be smaller and older than their Devon equivalents — cottages knocked together rather than purpose-built coaching inns — which makes room counts lower and parking scarcer almost everywhere on this list. We’ve flagged both honestly for each pub, along with the dog policy and food standard checked the same way as every other region on this site.
