Privacy notice
Last updated 11 October 2026.
Pubs with Rooms is run by AppEDGE Ltd, a UK company, which is the controller of the personal data described here. We keep it to the minimum we need.
Just browsing
We don't use advertising cookies or analytics trackers on this site. Our host, Cloudflare, processes visitor IP addresses to deliver pages securely. When you use the map, your browser loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap, and when you search by postcode on the Find page, that postcode is sent to the free postcodes.io service to turn it into a location. "Use my location" is handled in your browser and isn't sent to us.
When you click a link to a pub's website or a booking site, we count it in an anonymous daily total for that pub. The count is not linked to you. The site you go to has its own privacy notice and may set its own cookies. Some booking links are affiliate links, as explained on our about page.
Email updates
If you subscribe, we store your email address, the regions and interests you choose, whether you travel with a dog, where you signed up, and when you confirmed. We email you only if you confirm via the link we send. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. We keep your details while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe we keep your address on a suppression record so we don't email you again, and delete anything else on request.
Pub owners
If you send us details through the owners' form we store your name, role, email address, phone number, the information you give about the pub, and any photo links. We use them to check and update the pub's listing and to contact you about it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping listings accurate, and your agreement to the licence you tick for photos. Details you give about the pub are shown on the site as the pub's own statement. Your personal contact details are not published. We keep submissions while the listing is live, and delete your personal details if you ask us to.
Spam protection
To stop abuse of our forms we keep a one-way hash of your IP address with the time of each submission. These records are deleted within a couple of days. If a bot-check is switched on, Cloudflare Turnstile may process information about your browser to decide whether you're a person.
Who else handles your data
Cloudflare hosts the site and the database and sends our emails. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to how we use it, or to withdraw consent. Email hello@pubswithrooms.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
