Holt is a Georgian market town a few miles inland from the North Norfolk coast, rebuilt after a fire in 1708 and still centred on a Market Place of independent shops. It is also the practical base for a stay on this stretch of coast: Blakeney, Cley and Sheringham are all within a short drive, and the heritage North Norfolk Railway runs from here to Sheringham.

The Feathers is the in-town pub with rooms, a Georgian inn on the Market Place with fourteen rooms in the main building and more in The Lawns annexe — dogs are welcome in the bedrooms. A mile out at Letheringsett, the Kings Head has four boutique rooms and a kitchen with two AA Rosettes, with dogs allowed in selected rooms. The Pigs at Edgefield is a different kind of place: eighteen rooms, several with private saunas or hot tubs, a spa, and a few dog-friendly rooms at £35 a stay.

Further inland, about 17 miles away, the Brisley Bell is a country pub with six rooms and a place in the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastro Pubs — too far to list as a Holt pub, but worth the drive.

Questions people ask about Holt

Which pubs with rooms near Holt have parking?
The Kings Head at Letheringsett has a large car park and The Pigs at Edgefield lists on-site parking. We haven't confirmed it for the Feathers in the Market Place, where guest reviews mention limited spaces — Holt's centre is compact, so ring ahead.
What counts as a "pub with rooms" near Holt?
A bar you could walk into for a pint, with bedrooms attached. The Feathers is in the town, the Kings Head is a village pub a mile away and The Pigs is a country pub with a spa. We have left out Holt's smaller hotels and boutique B&Bs.
Can I stay with a dog at pubs near Holt?
Yes, at all three, though each handles it differently. The Feathers welcomes dogs in its bedrooms with a 'Sandy Paws' package. The Pigs allows dogs in a few spa rooms for £35 a stay, and at table. The Kings Head takes dogs in selected rooms.
