Last reviewed October 2026.
Chatsworth House sits in the Derwent valley just outside Bakewell, and the nearest pubs with rooms are in Bakewell itself and the villages around it. Hathersage, in the Hope Valley, is a longer drive but has a railway station, which none of the closer pubs has.
Distances are straight-line map estimates from the house, not driving distances, and we haven’t visited. Dog policies differ sharply, even within one town, so check each pub’s page before you book.
