A bit of history
Formerly the Lamb & Lion, renamed The Fat Badger after a refurbishment completed in 2022. It is two Grade II listed buildings beside Bootham Bar: Nos. 2 and 2A (a house and shop of about 1840) and No. 4 (built 1782, for many years the Bootham Bar Hotel). The pub's own site says only that it is 'dating back 400 years'.
