A bit of history
The rooms were built in 1923, at the peak of the British Linen Bank, which had begun as a linen trading company and won bank status in 1813. The bank was bought by the Bank of Scotland in the 1970s. The bar front is covered in old pennies as a nod to the banking past. It is part of the Scotsman Collection.
