A bit of history
Built in 1841 as the Princess Royal, it later traded under other names before Cubitt House reopened it under its original name in March 2022.

Stories & legends
- On record: When Cubitt House refitted the pub for its 2022 reopening, the builders uncovered mosaic flooring in the porch bearing the pub's original name. The team chose to restore it, which is why the Princess Royal name is back under your feet as you walk in. Hot Dinners notes it had briefly traded as The Commander and then Pomona's before that.
