A bit of history

The pub says the building dates from 1835 and was probably two houses merged into one pub. It stands on Westferry Road, and the pub says it is next door to Burrells Wharf, the former Millwall Ironworks where the SS Great Eastern was built.

Some of this page comes from published sources, not from the pub. If you run The Ship Inn, tell us how it really is — dogs, kitchen days, parking, photos — and we'll mark it as confirmed by the pub. It's free, and we never charge to list, check or rank a pub.
