A bit of history
The pub's own site says it dates back to 1789, and its history page says it began as a grocery and shebeen, an unlicensed drinking house, before becoming a pub. In 1977 Dessie Hynes, from Longford, took over from Paddy and Maureen O'Donoghue and kept up the music tradition.
