A bit of history
A Grade II listed stuccoed corner pub on Pimlico Road, rebuilt in 1845-6 and a brewpub (the Orange Brewery) for a spell from 1982; the brewing has since closed. The freehold is held by the Grosvenor Estate.

Stories & legends
- Local legend: CAMRA's listing says the pub may stand on the site of an 18th-century Orange Coffee House, which stopped trading long before the present building went up in 1845-6. We found no archive record for the coffee house, so treat it as a 'may' rather than a fact. Source: CAMRA WhatPub listing (camra.org.uk/pubs/128916)
- Local legend: The Orange is 'said to be named after William of Orange', according to its operators Cubitt House, which fits the Prince of Orange pub signs common in the period. No source we found confirms it, and the Historic England listing says nothing on the name. Source: Cubitt House's page for The Orange (cubitthouse.co.uk/the-orange-pimlico)

Is this your pub?
Some of this page comes from published sources, not from the pub. If you run The Orange, tell us how it really is — dogs, kitchen days, parking, photos — and we'll mark it as confirmed by the pub. It's free, and we never charge to list, check or rank a pub.
