Pubs with Rooms Near Wimbledon
Pubs with rooms in Wimbledon Village and across the river in Wandsworth, with how far each is from the All England Club and what we know about dogs.
Last reviewed October 2026.
The All England Lawn Tennis Club sits at the foot of Wimbledon Hill, and Wimbledon Village, where the nearest pubs with rooms are, is a short walk uphill. Further afield, a cluster of pubs around Wandsworth Town station are about two miles away, with trains to Waterloo.
Distances are straight-line map estimates from the club, not walking times, and we haven’t visited. Rooms in the area get harder to find while the Championships are on, so check dates early and compare the booking sites for the price on the night.

Can you stay in a pub for the Championships?
Yes. Rooms near the club are likely to be in demand while the Championships are on, so look at dates well ahead. We don't hold live prices, so check them on the booking page. The tournament publishes its own ticket and queue rules.
Which of these pubs allow dogs?
The Rose & Crown, Dog & Fox, Spread Eagle, Brewer's Inn, Alma and Windmill all say on their own sites that they have dog-friendly bedrooms: up to two dogs for £25 a night, with a bed and hamper. Aragon House has several dog friendly rooms. The tournament has its own rules on dogs at the grounds, so check those separately.
